Couple to celebrate 65th years ago
Elmer and Lillian Leppke of rural Marion will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Ebenfeld Fellowship Hall, two miles east and four miles south of Hillsboro.
Lillian Harms and Elmer Leppke were married Oct. 19, 1941, at Grace Hill Church, southeast of Newton.
Elmer has farmed for more than 60 years and is semi-retired. Lillian has been in the antique business for more than 34 years.
They have two sons, Merle of rural Marion and Bob of Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Harold Heier of Park City; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
