St. Luke Hospital Auxiliary Unit II held its annual luncheon Thursday in the meeting room in the basement of St. Luke Clinic.

Bright purple, yellow, and pink decorations, placemats, and napkins provided a festive atmosphere. Colorful spring floral centerpieces provided by St. Luke Hospital were given away as door prizes.

Board president Janice Case led the brief meeting which followed the salad lunch.

Two $500 scholarships were presented to Karson Craig and Amy Tajchman, Marion High School graduates who plan to enter medical fields. Craig, the daughter of Debbie and Kevin Craig, plans to attend the University of Kansas and pursue training in physical therapy. Tajchman, daughter of Kay and Charles Tajchman, plans to enroll in pre-med at Kansas State University.

Treasurer Eileen Sieger could not be present due to illness, so chairman Iris Summers made the presentation.

Teeny Williams displayed a handmade quilt/bedspread which she has donated as a fund-raiser for the auxiliary. Tickets will be sold at $1 for one or six for $5.00. The winner will be chosen at the annual meeting in January.

The auxiliary will not meet again until September.
