Criminal cases

The following information has been filed in the Criminal Division of Marion County District Court:

Dustin Sharp, charged with sale of hallucinogenic, no tax stamp, possession of drug paraphernalia, furnishing alcohol to minor, transporting open container, and driving on wrong side of road; bond appearance at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 14.

Kelly P. Wilson, charged with purchase/consumption of alcohol by minor, transporting an open container, and driving on left in no-pass zone; first appearance at 10 a.m. Dec. 15.

Benjamin Brunson, charged with disorderly conduct; journal entry of conviction of sentencing, defendant appears pro se, waives attorney, enters plea of no contest to count one, 48 hours controlling sentence, immediate six months unsupervised probation, pay fines and costs of $267.

Jackie Gage Sr., charged with criminal threat; first appearance hearing at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 6.

John Smith, charged with two counts giving worthless check; state requests matter dismissed, costs and restitution paid in full.

Shawn L. Pitts, charged with fleeing and eluding and speed; journal entry of conviction and sentencing, no contest to counts one and two of amended complaint, 90 days controlling sentence for count one, defendant to serve two 48-hour periods, 12 months supervised probation with court service officer, fines and costs for counts one and two, $786.

Lance Alexander, charged with aggravated battery, criminal threat, and battery; journal entry of conviction and sentencing, defendant appears with attorney, sentenced to term of confinement in Marion County jail for six months, costs assessed to defendant including attorney fees, pay restitution of $75.44, one year probation, no contact with victim, not to consume drugs, subject to testing, obtain anger management evaluation and complete any education counseling recommendation, required to serve two weekends in Marion County jail, defendant intent to appeal conviction, execution of sentence is stayed pending resolution of appeal.
