Darren W. Dewitt, giving a worthless check of less than $500; upon the motion of the county attorney the case was dismissed without prejudice because the defendant had paid court costs, booking fee, and restitution in full.

Cory Helmstead, burglary of a building used as a dwelling, theft of less than $1,000, criminal damage to property of less than $500; upon motion of the county attorney, counts one and three are dismissed with prejudice; defendant entered a plea of no contest to count two; court services officer ordered to prepare a pre-sentence investigation report due by Jan. 25; sentencing will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 30.

Shelia Deines, attempted aggravated burglary; sentenced to a controlling term of 21 months with the Secretary of Corrections, placed on supervised probation with community corrections for 24 months to run concurrent with another Marion County criminal case; defendant to serve eight days in Marion County Jail as a condition of probation; other conditions of probation included no possession or consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs, submission to random blood, breath, or urine testing upon request of court services officer or any law enforcement officer and serve 48 hours in the county jail for every positive drug/alcohol test, refusal to submit, failure to follow UA testing instructions, or admission of use, gain and maintain employment or attend school, and pay court and probation fees and make restitution.

Shelia Deines, battery; defendant sentenced to a controlling sentence of six months in the custody of the Marion County Sheriff to be consecutive with another Marion County criminal case, ordered to serve four days in Marion County Jail to be concurrent with a Morris County sentence to begin when time is completed in Morris County, placed on immediate supervised probation for one year with community corrections to be concurrent with another Marion County criminal case, probation subject to all standard terms and include jail time of 48 hours in the Marion County Jail for every positive drug/alcohol test, refusal to submit, or admission of usage, obtain an anger management assessment to determine need for counseling at own expense, and follow recommendations at own expense, no contact with the victim, pay probation and other fees as determined by the court.
