David and Shirley Bowers celebrates 55th anniversary years ago
David and Shirley Bowers of Marion celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Sunday with a family dinner at Brookville Hotel, Abilene.
The couple was married May 31, 1950, at Youngtown church. They lived in that community until moving to Marion in 1992.
Family members joining them for the celebration included Russell and Stephanie Bowers, Alexis and Alex of Colby, Randy and Betsy Bunnel of Welda, Doug and Janelle Paden, Matthew, Abigail, and Jonathan of Newton, Daniel and Kim Bowers, Bryce, Breanna, and Amber of Burlington, Kenneth and Anita Sly of Salina, and Greg and Mary Beth Bowers and Luke of Marion.
