David Druse
David Druse, 58, of Newton, died March 6, 2005, at Select Specialty Hospital, Wichita.
Born Jan. 20, 1947, at Moundridge, he was the son of Edward and Inez (Richardson) Druse.
He grew up near Marion and graduated from Marion High School.
He moved to Newton in 1970 and on March 21, 1970, he married Virginia Marie Bitner.
He was a KDOT engineer tech for 38 years and a charter member of Peace Lutheran Church, Newton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Teddy; and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Marie of Newton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Jill Druse of Dodge City and Bob Druse and Kelli Wright of Lawrence; three nephews, Tyson, Ashton, and Shawn Bitner, all of Newton; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home Chapel, Newton, with the Rev. Gib Botten officiating.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Marion.
A memorial fund has been established with the American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
