Delbert Hamm

Delbert Hamm, 73, of Hillsboro, died July 8, 2007, at Newton.

Born June 16, 1934, at Hillsboro, he was the son of Edward and Bertha (Hill) Hamm.

On July 6, 1984, he married Carolyn Turner at Newton.

He was contracted milk hauler and member of First Baptist Church of Durham.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Hamm, who died in 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of rural Hillsboro; four sons, Lonnie and Donna Hamm of rural Hillsboro, Ronnie and Denise Hamm, David Peaney, and Chris Stuart, all of Newton; five daughters, Connie and Tom Jenkins of Pratt, Bonnie and Royce Saltzman of Newton, Sharon Schabel and Tammie and Patrick Arebalo of Wichita, and Carrie Kasper of Peabody; two brothers, Duane Hamm of Hillsboro and Marvin Hamm of Wells; two sisters, Elma Klein and Florence Hett of Hillsboro; 19 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Durham with Pastor Curtis Wiens officiating.

A private family burial service will be conducted.

A memorial fund has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
