Donald Brunner

The Rev. Donald E. Brunner, 56, died Nov. 5, 2004, at his home in Westfield, Wis.

Born March 27, 1948, in Wichita, he was the adopted son of Jacob and Lillian (Bernhardt) Brunner.

He received his master's of divinity from Concordia Theological Seminary, Springfield, Ill., in 1974. He served as minister at Langdon and Munich, N.D., Scribner, Neb., and Westfield, Wis.

On Aug. 28, 1966, he married Marlene Meyer. The couple spent their married life doing his ministry work.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Ernest Meyer.

Survivors include his wife, Marlene of Westfield, Wis.; six children, Dawn Larson of South Dakota, Lori Buck, Tami Bolden, and Paul Brunner, all of Nebraska, Mark Brunner of Wisconsin, and Joel Brunner of Minnesota; mother-in-law, Alma Meyer of Kansas; brother-in-law, Dennis Meyer of Kansas; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in Westfield, Wis.

Further services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Ramona.

Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery, Ramona.
