Donald Dunn

Donald D. Dunn, 83, of Loveland, Colo., died March 29, 2005.

Born Aug. 5, 1921, at Marion, he was the son of Clyde and Fern (Pollitt) Dunn.

He was a decorated World War II veteran, serving in the Army from 1942-1945 as a tank driver. He was awarded three bronze stars.

He was a farmer and farm implement sales representative.

He was a member of the VFW in Loveland, Colo., and the Methodist church in Marion.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vernetta (Seifert) Dunn; a son, Gary Dunn; and a grandson.

Survivors include three sons, Don Dunn of Fort Collins, Colo., Bob Dunn of Olathe, and James Dunn of Pahrump, Nev.; six daughters, Deanna Wilder of Sacramento, Calif., Sally Train of Lindsborg, Susan Manning of Loveland, Colo., and Barb Moritzky, Patty Krammes, and Julie Dunn, all of Lakewood, Colo.; three brothers, Gail "Bill" Dunn of Valley Center, Ralph Dunn of Lawrence, and Max Dunn of Las Cruces, N.M.; a sister, Ruth (Spinden) Dunn of Fort Collins, Colo.; 21 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He also is survived by a cousin, Ruth Jo Penner of Marion.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Loveland, Colo.

Burial was in Resthaven Mortuary Gardens.

A memorial fund has been established with House of Neighborly Service.
