Dorothy Graham

Dorothy Graham, 77, died Jan. 7, 2005, at Claremont, Calif.

Born Feb. 26, 1927, at Marion, she was the daughter of A.L. and Mary (Reneau) Socolofsky.

Graham attended schools in Marion until 1940 when the family moved to Manhattan. She received a bachelor's degree from Kansas State University in 1949.

She was a dietitian at a California hospital. She spent many hours as a volunteer for various charitable organizations, as a Girl Scout leader, and as a docent at Huntington Botanical Gardens in San Marino, Calif.

Survivors include her husband, James; two sons, James Graham Jr. of Claremont, Calif., and Richard Graham of Irvine, Calif.; two daughters, Patricia Rowe and Carol Parker, both of Encinitas, Calif.; two brothers, Homer Socolofsky of Manhattan and Marion Socolofsky of Baton Rouge, La.; sister, Mildred Lindholm of Manhattan; and four grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 22 in Claremont, Calif.

The family requests donations to the charity of choice.
