Dorothy Steinle

Dorothy Hobratschk Steinle, longtime Hillsboro resident, passed away into the hands of her Lord Saturday, after a long illness in Jefferson City, Mo., where she lived for the past six years in a nursing home near her son and daughter-in-law, the Rev. and Mrs. John Hobratschk.

Dorothy and her husband, Edwin Steinle, who worked at Boeing in Wichita, lived in Hillsboro for 27 years until Ed passed away in 2001.

Dorothy worked as a medical assistant for Drs. Eitzen and Ens for 17 years.

She was born Dorothy Moeck in Nortonville, on Nov. 6, 1916, and married the Rev. B.A. Hobratschk in 1938.

Pastor Hobratschk served Zion Lutheran Church in Hillsboro from 1953-1963, and died in 1969.

Surviving are children Donald and Lois Hobratschk of Sun City Center, Fla., John and Linda Hobratschk of Jefferson City, Mo., Stephen and Berneal Hobratschk Flach of Menlo Park, Calif.; stepdaughter, Barbara Steinle Goddale and husband Kevin of Blue Springs, Mo.; stepson, Gary Steinle and wife Bonnie of Wichita; grandchildren, Mark, Marcia, Matthew, and Johanna Hobratschk, Shelly Jennings and husband David of Wichita, David Steinle of Wichita, Deon Steinle and wife Bobbie of Pleasanton, and Westin Goodale of Blue Springs, Mo.; and great-grandchildren, Alyson, Julia, Danielle, Hannah, Seth, Luke, Hallie, Seth Andrew, and Ellen Lynn.

Funeral and interment will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, Hillsboro. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. at the church.
