Dorothy Wright
Dorothy Edna Wright, 81, died June 11, 2005, at Newton Presbyterian Manor.
Born Feb. 24, 1924, at Marion, she was the daughter of William and Edna Mae (Marler) Powell.
On Sept. 10, 1943, she married Bill L. Wright at Riverside, Calif.
She worked in the telephone office at Marion and was a sales clerk for Woolworth's for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lola Seibel, and two brothers, Claude and Orville Powell.
Survivors include her husband, Bill of Newton; son, David Wright of Newton; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Community Foursquare Church, Newton.
Burial will be in Walton Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas.
