Duren, Leppke exchange wedding vows

Amanda Diane Duren and Sheldon Wayne Leppke. Both of McPherson, were married at 2 p.m. June 24, 2006, at Elyria Christian High School Gym, Elyria.

Parents of the couple are Dave and Melody Duren and Stuart and Sheree Leppke, all of McPherson.

Grandparents are Lawrence and Evelyn Wilson of Indianapolis, Ind., Robert and Frances Duren of McPherson, Willis and Ruth Ann Penner of Hillsboro, and Wilbur and Helen Leppke of Peabody.

The bride's uncle, the Rev. Mark Ongley of Rockwood, Penn., officiated at the double ring ceremony.

Music was provided by Ben Leppke of Marion, cousin of the groom, pianist; Michael Burton of Newton, guitar; Torrey Hency of Newton, bongos; and Alysha Dockum, McPherson, marimbas. Kylee Miller of McPherson was vocalist.

The bride wore a white tea-length halter dress with tulle over white satin with white polka dots. The dress was designed by the bride and made by her mother. The bride carried white lilies.

Alysha Dockum of McPherson was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister, Emily Duren of McPherson, Tarah Spencer of McPherson, and Trina Gerrild of Dallas, Texas. They wore tea-length black with white polka dot halter dresses and carried pink stargazer lilies.

Zillah Estrada and Gabby Macy, both of McPherson, were flower girls.

David Perry of Hillsboro, cousin of the groom, was the ring bearer.

Micah Gassie of McPherson served as best man. Groomsmen were the groom's brother, Shane Leppke of McPherson, and the bride's brothers, Jason Duren and Josh Duren, both of Phoenix, Ariz.

Ushers were Robert Pritchard and Eric Rostine, both of McPherson and Phil Lynch of Inman.

Sarah and Ruth Ongley, both of Rockwood, Penn., were guest book attendants.

Hannah and Jessie Perry, both of Hillsboro, and Danae Leppke of Bonner Springs were in charge of gifts.

A reception was held in the high school gym following the ceremony. Dave and Bev Kelley of McPherson were reception hosts.

Reception attendants were Laurie Ongley of Rockwood, Penn., Ann Leppke of Marion, Daveda Leppke of Bonner Springs, Tam Perry and Hannah Perry, both of Hillsboro, and Debbie Goossen and Amber Goossen, both of Beatrice, Neb.

Neva Krug of McPherson was the wedding coordinator.

The bride is a graduate of McPherson High School and attends McPherson College where she is a graphics design major.

Her husband is a graduate of Elyria Christian School and McPherson College auto restoration program. He is employed by Stellar Antique Auto Restorations, Windom.

Following a honeymoon to Atlanta and Savannah, Ga., the couple lives at McPherson.
