Earl Ewert
Earl Ewert, 86, of Hillsboro, died May 24, 2004, at Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita.
Born June 29, 1917, in Marion County, he was the son of Jacob and Minnie (Goertz) Ewert.
On Jan. 21, 1949, he married Deltha Base near Tampa. She died in 1968.
He formerly worked for Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI), and was a member of Trinity Mennonite Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William and Albert; and four sisters, Anna Brandt, Edna Plenert, Marie Plett, and Dora Bartel.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Morris and Linda Ewert and Tyler and Diane Ewert, all of Wichita and Harris and Debbie Ewert of rural Hillsboro; a daughter, Roxann Ewert of Hillsboro; a brother, Ben Ewert of Hillsboro; a sister, Arpa Ewert of Hillsboro; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Mennonite Church, Hillsboro, with Pastor Tim Kliewer officiating.
Burial will precede the service in Johannestal Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.
A memorial fund has been established with the church.
