Edna Utech
Edna Utech, 101, of Herington, died Feb. 5, 2007.
Born March 31, 1905, at Herington, she was the daughter of Herman and Katherine (Schmidt) Granzow.
On April 4, 1926, she married Walter Utech Sr. at Herington. He died in 1965.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Ernest Utech; two brothers, Louis and Harry Granzow; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include four sons, Bill Utech and Robert Utech of Herington, James Utech of Junction City, and Paul Utech of Lenexa; daughter, Teresa Staatz of Pipestone, Minn.; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington.
Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.
Memorial funds have been established with St. Paul Lutheran Church or Herington Municipal Hospital.
