Elaine Beames
Elaine JoAnn Beames, 68, died Sept. 26, 2007, at Herington Municipal Hospital.
Born Nov. 15, 1938, at Ramona, she was the daughter of Newton and Renata (Danitschek) Kleopfer.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Herington.
She married Curtis Rodney Barnes. He died in 1996.
Survivors include her mother, Renata Johnson of Herington; son, Curtis Beames of Evans, Colo.; daughter, Cheryl James of Herington; brother, Duane Kleopfer of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday morning at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Herington, with Bill Peterson officiating.
Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.
Memorial funds have been established with the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association Heart of America Chapter.
