Eldon Nelson

Eldon R. Nelson, 80, of Lost Springs, died Sept. 11, 2004, at Bethany Home in Lindsborg, where he had been a resident since January 2004.

Born Sept. 9, 1924, at Lost Springs, he was the son of John W. and Minerva (Peterson) Nelson.

He was a life long dairy farmer, retiring in 1993. His farm had been a "Century Farm" since 1984.

He was a member of Burdick United Methodist Church, was Sunday school treasurer, and served on the trustees' board. He was a member of Burdick Senior Center and served on the Burdick Area Cemetery Board for many years.

He married Isla Rose Lindberg on Aug, 17, 1951, in Lindsborg

Survivors include his wife, Isla Rose of Lindsborg; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Steve Hanneman of Peabody; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Stanley and Joyce Nelson of Marysville and Gary and Linda Nelson of Lenexa; and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Burdick United Methodist Church.

A memorial fund has been established with the church.
