Elizabeth Propp

Elizabeth "Betty" (Rudolph) Propp, 98, died March 15, 2007.

Born May 7, 1908, at Pilsen, she was the daughter of Adolph and Christina (Stika) Rudolph.

She was raised on a farm near Pilsen and attended parochial school there. As a young woman, worked as a telephone switchboard operator in Pilsen. She also worked as a cook/housekeeper in the home of the late Marion banker, Earl Krueter and later as a bookkeeper/receptionist for the late Dr. Frederick Good.

On April 18, 1931, she married Ezra Propp. The couple settled on a farm near Lost Springs. They moved to Wichita in 1945.

She was employed at Ketteman Bakery, retiring in 1987.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathrynell McDonald of San Antonio, Texas; son, Gene Propp of Prairie Village; two sisters, Ida Svitak of Pilsen and Jane Makovec of Marion; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was held March 19 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Wichita.
