Elma Klein
Elma Klein, 89, died Aug. 2, 2007, at Parkside Homes, Hillsboro.
Born July 18, 1918, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Edward and Bertha (Hill) Hamm.
On June 10, 1938, she married Leonard Klein at Durham. He died in 1999.
She owned Klein's Self Service Laundry and was a member of Durham First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Donald and Sharon Klein of Tampa and Darold and Beverly Klein of Fort Collins, Colo.; daughter, Carol and Wayne Ollenburger of Hillsboro; two brothers, Duane Hamm of Hillsboro and Marvin Hamm of Wells; a sister, Florence Hett of Hillsboro; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday morning at the First Baptist Church of Durham with Pastor Curtis Wiens officiating. Burial was in Durham Park Cemetery, rural Durham.
Memorial funds have been established with First Baptist Church or Parkside Homes.
