Elsie Brown
Elsie Brown, 91, died March 3, 2005, at her daughter's home in Salina.
Born June 24, 1913, at Latimer, she was the daughter of Clyde and Mary Alice (Morgan) Bloomer.
On Jan. 23, 1940, she married Harold F. Brown in Abilene. He died in 1988.
She was a member of Herington United Methodist Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanne Will; three brothers, Henry, Gale, and Glenn Bloomer; two sisters, Beatrice Morgan and Dorothy Bloomer; and her parents.
Survivors include a daughter, Dixie Mason of Salina; sister, Virginia Lee of El Dorado; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington Chapel, with the Rev. Jorge Arvelo officiating.
A memorial fund has been established with Hospice of Salina.
