Elsie Van Sant
Elsie (Bolte) Van Sant, 84, died June 28, 2004, at Santa Rosa, Calif.
Born July 29, 1919, at Tampa, she was the daughter of Herman F. and Fredericka (Teetzen) Bolte.
She grew up on the Bolte farm northeast of Hillsboro and attended the Warren rural school.
Around 1940, she moved to El Dorado, where one of her sisters lived. She began working at Woolworth's as a sales clerk and because of her excellent work habits, was soon promoted.
She married Lloyd Van Sant in El Dorado. The couple moved to California in the early 1950s.
Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Lieblich of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and a grandson.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Hillsboro, with the Rev. Clark M. Davis officiating.
A memorial fund was established with the Lutheran Women's Missionary League of Zion Lutheran Church.
