Emile Soyez Jr.
Emile F. Soyez, Jr., 87, died June 14, 2008, at Golden Living Center, Marion.
Born Dec. 31, 1920, near Florence, he was the son of Emile F. and Grace (Sampson) Soyez, Sr.
He graduated from Marion High School in 1939.
He was a lifelong cowboy, farmer, and rancher.
On Nov. 25, 1941, he married Irene P. Regier.
Survivors include his children, Gary and Ada Soyez, El Dorado, Jerry and Richard Steven Robinson, Garnett, Ralph and Susan Carol Soyez, Emporia, and Terry Soyez, Cedar Point; brother and sister-in-law, John and Theresa Soyez of Newton; grandchildren, Andi and husband Brad Thomas, El Dorado, Sherry and husband Bob Griffin, Lebo, Michael Soyez, Olpe, Doug and wife Melissa Robinson, Laguna Nigel, Calif.; Dr. Stan Robinson, Olympia, Wash., Jeffrey Robinson, Kansas City; and Richard Zachary Robinson, Garnett; and great-grandchildren, Catherine Griffin, and Natalie, Tori, and Ellie Robinson.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) at Cedar Point Community Church, Cedar Point.
Burial was in Cedar Point Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established with the Tall Grass Prairie National Preserve in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, 205 Elm, Marion.
