Emma Klenda

Emma A. Klenda, 94, died Aug. 4, 2004, at Marion Manor.

Born Jan. 8, 1910, on the family farm near Pilsen, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Stika) Klenda.

She attended school in Pilsen and grew up in the Pilsen community.

Klenda enjoyed farm life, being a homemaker and farmer at heart. She moved to Marion Manor early this summer.

She was a member of St. John Nep. Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish at Pilsen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Emanuel; and a sister, Petrona Kristek.

Survivors include a brother, Ted Klenda of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Sister Alice Klenda of Wichita; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass was held Saturday morning at St. John Nep. Church, Holy Family Parish, Pilsen. Father Steve Gronert was the celebrant.

Burial was in Pilsen Cemetery.

Andrew David

Andrew Christian David, 87, died Aug. 8, 2004, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.

Born Nov. 6, 1916, northwest of Durham, he was the son of Jacob and Leah (Lorenz) David. He was a farmer and member of First Baptist Church of Durham.

Survivors include a brother, Lester David of Sunapee, N.H.; and a sister, Elma David of rural Durham.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Durham Baptist Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with the church.
