Erna Loewen
Erna P. Loewen, 89, died Oct. 13, 2004, at Salem Home, Hillsboro.
Born April 18, 1915, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Christian and Karolina (Delk) Seibel.
She was a 1935 graduate of Hillsboro High School.
On Sept. 2, 1939, she married Clarence Loewen at Hillsboro. He died in 1994.
She had lived in McPherson for 50 years, returning to Hillsboro in 2002.
She was co-owner/operator of the Western Auto in McPherson and was a Shaklee dealer. She was a member of First Baptist Church of McPherson.
She was preceded in death by six brothers, Jacob, Samuel, Edward, Solomon, Walter, and Christian Seibel; and five sisters, Martha Suderman, Louise Suderman, Sarah Friesen, Agnes Just, and Rachel Seibel.
Survivors include a son, Dennis Loewen of Lawrence; a daughter, Karolyn Wiebe of White River Junction, Vt.; a sister, Evelyn Regier of Peabody; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Stockham Family Funeral Home, McPherson, with Clinton Seibel officiating.
Burial was in McPherson Cemetery.
