Esther Obermeyer
Esther Obermeyer, 90, Herington, died June 5, 2008.
Born Jan. 11, 1918, near Herington, she was the daughter of Henry and Ida (Ohm) Wendlandt.
On March 12, 1939, she married Marvin Obermeyer. He died in 1990.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Eileen Obermeyer; two sisters, Freda Payne and Erna Bell; and three brothers, Arthur, Jack, and Henry.
Survivors include two sons, Marvin "Butch" Obermeyer Jr. and Dean Obermeyer, both of Herington; daughter, Susan Mein of Herington; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Herington.
Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with Dickinson County Hospice or the Alzheimer's Association in care of Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Herington.
