Family requests card shower
The family of former Marion resident Ruby Linnens has requested a card shower honoring her 85th birthday Aug. 18.
The oldest daughter of Clee J. and Tressie Ford, she has two sisters, Fern Timm of Herington and Elizabeth Koegeboehn of Council Grove. Her four brothers, William, Jerome, Dalphas, and Leslie, are deceased. She has three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Before moving to McPherson to be closer to her daughter, Marilyn Klassen, Linnens was a resident of Hilltop Manor and participated in many activities. She still is a member of Valley United Methodist Church.
