Festival, golf tournament planned as fund-raiser for park equipment
A festival and golf tournament are being planned as part of fund-raising efforts for new playground equipment at Central Park.
From 1 to 4 p.m. Oct. 20, a fall festival will be held at Central Park with games, snacks, hayrack rides, and pony rides offered.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the fund-raiser. Contact Angela Lange at (620) 382-8979 or Becky Makovec at (620) 382-2417.
On Oct. 21, a four-person golf scramble is being planned. The scramble will begin at 12:15 p.m. and the cost is $50 per person or $200 per team, which includes lunch and drinks. Registrations are due by Oct. 12 and are limited to the first 22 teams.
The event is sponsored by Western Associates, AT&T, Tampa State Bank, Shawmar Oil Company, Central National Bank, Carlsons' Grocery, TC's What Not Shop, and PLANTations.
