FFA chapter holds end of year banquet

The Marion/Florence FFA Chapter held its Parent/Member/Employer banquet Thursday at Marion High School.

Members were recognized for their activities during year, and were presented numerous awards.

Senior Hank Collett received the Chapter Star Farmer award, and freshman Kayla Williams was recognized as the Star Greenhand.

The chapter also presented appreciation certificates to Straub International, Prairieland Partners, Inc., Robin Taylor, Sarah Cope, Jim Piper, Pat Ash, Carlsons' Grocery, and Gambino's Pizza for their assistance to the chapter during the year.

Bethany Bohnenblust, the current state FFA president, was the featured speaker for the evening.

A PowerPoint presentation of the year's highlights was shown after the meal.

More than 130 members and guests attended the banquet.
