Five MHS musicians to perform at Wichita State
Marion High School students Lauren Helmer, Jessica Vogel, Landon Leiker, and Hank and Lucy Collett were chosen to participate Saturday in the South Central Kansas Music Educators Association concert.
The concert includes performances from district honor bands, choirs, and orchestras.
Both Colletts and Helmer were chosen for the choir, Vogel for the orchestra, and Leiker for the band.
The students begin rehearsing at 8 a.m. Saturday at Wichita State University, and practice all day.
The band will perform at 4:30 p.m. at Miller Hall, and the orchestra will start at 6 p.m. in Miller as well. The girls' choir will start at 3:30 and the mixed at 4:30, both at Wiedemann Hall.
