Flag pole dedicated in memory of Alison Cady
The family of Alison Cady dedicated a flag pole July 8 at Camp Oakledge, a Girl Scouts camp in Warsaw, Mo., where she attended camp as a child.
A large portion of the Ali Cady Memorial Fund was spent for the flag pole with the remainder used a as scholarship fund for a graduating senior and Girl Scout in the Marion County area.
Tracy Khounsavanh of Marion was the 2003-04 recipient of a $100 scholarship.
The public is invited to a memorial mass at 5:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mark Catholic Church, Holy Family Parish in Marion. Father Nick Voelker will officiate.
