Florence Spring Fling set for April 29 years ago
Florence Labor Day committee met March 29 to finalize plans for the annual Spring Fling, which will be held April 29 at the Florence gymnasium.
Kids' games begin at 3 p.m.
Headlining entertainment will be Clogging Sensation, a clogging dance group from Lincoln, Neb.
Other entertainment will include Note-ables, a Butler Community College singing quartet, presentations by Marion High School forensics students, and Misty the Clown.
The annual Labor Day button contest also will be held this year. The public is asked to cast votes for their favorite design.
A white elephant auction will be held.
A barbecue dinner will begin at 5 p.m. Cost is by free will donation. A cake auction will follow the meal.
The Spring Fling is a major fund-raiser for the Labor Day organization. Proceeds help fund the annual Labor Day celebration. The public is invited.
