Florentines enjoy potluck meal

Fourteen members of the Florentines met Sept. 1 at the senior center in Florence for a potluck meal and meeting.

Betty Inlow showed the group a quilt top she is making.

The group sang "Happy Birthday" to Lenora Graham.

Betty Ireland read a short story, "Don't Mess Around with Seniors." She also read the story about the deck of cards as the group played card bingo.

A yo-yo floral bouquet was shown to the group. It will be donated to the Senior Fair at Salina.

A letter from Virginia Downing with the Marion County Department for Elderly about scams in the county. The letter was posted on the bulletin board.

Three cards were signed for the homebound.

It was announced that Bud and Rose Vinduska distributed commodities Sept. 14.

The next meeting will be Oct. 6. The program will be announced.
