Food Network will feature Florence in August
Trayce Warner, head of Florence Labor Day, has reported that the Florence Spring Fling visit by Alton Brown will be featured on his TV program in August.
"His production company said the plan currently is to begin airing the series July 29," she said. "Their schedule is to show the Florence segment the second week, Aug. 5."
Warner said the series will be called "Feasting on the Asphalt." It will air on Brown's Saturday night show.
The special series will cover Brown's trek across America looking for communities events involving food. He and his production crew spent the weekend of April 29 filming Florentines getting ready for Spring Fling, an annual fund-raiser for Labor Day.
