Four Warriors named to all-class teams
Marion High School football players Josh Kelsey, Michael Brookens, Casey Nelson, and Jason Hett were recognized for their effort this season by the Wichita Eagle.
The newspaper names all-class teams from 1-6A, and has an honorable mention at each level.
Kelsey was named to the 3A-all class honorable mention offensive and defensive teams. The senior played quarterback and safety for the Warriors.
Brookens was the other defensive player honored. The linebacker led the Warriors in tackles the past two seasons.
Hett and Nelson were named to the honorable mention offensive team along with Kelsey. Nelson finished his senior year with 20 rushing touchdowns, and one receiving touchdown. Hett, a junior receiver led the team with four touchdown receptions.
Nelson, Kelsey, and Brookens were named to the Topeka Capital-Journal 3A-all class honorable mention team as well.
