Fred Samples
Fredrick R. Samples, 60, of Marion, died Dec. 18, 2007.
Born May 8, 1947, at Hays, he was the son of Fredrick and Martha (Long) Samples.
On Oct. 30, 1976, he married Carmel Kotelensky at Hays.
He was a retired engineer for the Kansas Department of Transportation.
Survivors include his wife, Carmel of Marion; two sons, Rodney and Michael, both of Manhattan; daughter, Christine of Higden, Ark.; and one grandchild.
Funeral services were Friday morning at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion, with Pastor Jeremiah Lange officiating.
Inurnment will occur at a later date.
A memorial fund has been established with the Marion County Lake Improvement Fund.
