Freda Losey
Freda I. Losey, 86, died Aug. 22, 2005, at Midland Hospice Care, Topeka.
Born Feb. 17, 1919, at Marion, she was the daughter of Ed and Anna (Malmstrom) Childs.
She was a retired bookkeeper for J.C. Penney's and Seymour Packing Company in Marion. She was a school bus driver and worked at the Pizza Hut corporate offices in Wichita. After moving back to Marion, she was a dispatcher for the Marion County Sheriff's Office.
She was a member of Ecker-Fulkerson-Slifer Post #6958 VFW Ladies' Auxiliary.
On Jan. 9, 1960, she married Ivan Losey. He died in 1995.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mildred Kelsey, Helen Jost, and Pauline Bradford; and two brothers, Edson and Joe Childs.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Druse of Topeka; sister, Eleanor King of Longmont, Colo.; sister-in-law, Betty Childs of Hutchinson; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Marion Cemetery.
