Freshmen take second at ag mechanics contest
A team of freshman agriculture education students from Marion High School placed second at the South Central District FFA freshman ag mechanics contest held May 10 at Inman High School.
Alan Overton placed fifth; Mark Kukuk was sixth; Jason Richmond, 11th; and Brad Klenda, 13th.
Activities at the contest included tool identification, written safety test, problem solving activity; identification of parts on a metal ironworker; and a welding skill.
Levi Carpenter of Marion also participated.
Marion High School principal Ken Arnhold was the team sponsor for the day.
