Friday night events planned at CHS

The public is invited to attend several events slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Centre High School.

From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., seniors in English 12 will present projects that demonstrate their proficiency using language arts such as reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing.

Each student selected a topic of interest and designed a project that includes correspondence, consultation with a mentor, a formal research paper, and public speaking.

Some of the topics selected include games, music, sports, and careers.

Under the Extended Learning Program, a product fair will be conducted demonstrating various creative problem-solving projects which examine real world problems and issues.

A variety show will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will include skits, singing, and all kinds of talent.

Immediately following the show, the movie premiere of "Why Do Chickens Always Have the Biggest Beaks? The Sequel" will be presented. This comedy was written, directed, and produced by seniors Rachel Davis and Tad Remy.

Parents are advised that some content may be too sophisticated for young children.
