Gene Costello
Gene Costello, 87, died Dec. 13, 2007, at Golden Living Center, Marion. He was born Sept. 19, 1920, at Tampa.
In 1957, he married Betty Buser.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; daughter, Mary Beth; and brother, James.
Survivors include three sons, Jim Costello of Colwich, Tom Costello of Garden Plain, and Dan Costello of Washington, D.C.; two daughters, Sharon Gutsch of Lincolnville and Jane Dodds of Lenexa; brother, Ed Costello of Marion; four sisters, Anna Marie Bergkamp of Pretty Prairie, Catherine Hajek of Tampa, Rosemary Lewis of Wichita, and Florence Scanlan of Laguna Hills, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The rosary was recited Sunday afternoon at St. Mark Catholic Church, Marion.
Funeral services were Monday morning at the church. Burial was in Tampa Catholic Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established with Holy Redeemer Catholic Church Maintenance Fund, Tampa, in care of Zeiner Funeral Home, PO Box 6, Marion.
