Geneva Widler

Geneva Helen Widler, 86, died Sept. 13, 2006.

Born Feb. 16, 1920, near Branson, Mo., she was the daughter of John and Nancy Lassley.

On Jan. 11, 1941, she married Kenneth Cecil (K.C.) Widler. The couple lived on a farm near Burns for most of their married life.

She worked for Woolworth's in El Dorado for 25 years. After her retirement, she and K.C. moved to Marion.

She was preceded in death by her husband, K.C.; four brothers, Claude, Frank, Wilber, and Ed; and a sister, Sybal.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Widler of Marion; two daughters, Norma Widler of Marion and Arlene Widler of El Dorado; four brothers, John, Stan, Bill, and Dave Lassley; a sister, Betty; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Valley United Methodist Church, Marion.

Burial was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Florence.
