Gladys Mann

Gladys Mann, 97, died Feb. 1, 2006, at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.

Born April 11, 1908, at Canada, she was the daughter of Harry and Alma (Harpster) Russell.

She was a homemaker and cook at a nursing home in Peabody. She also was the St. Luke Living Center correspondent for the Marion County Record.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Fredrick Mann, who died in 1978.

Survivors include three sons, Earl and Jane Mann of Wichita, Cliff and Pauline Mann of Potwin, and Richard and Dolores Mann of Cedar Point; sister, Hazel Clothier of Florence; 10 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at Baker Funeral Home, Peabody, with Pastor Rick Branson officiating.

Burial was in Prairie Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.

Memorial funds have been established with Eastmoor United Methodist Church, Marion, and Harry Hynes Hospice.
