Gwinetha Robbins

Gwinetha M. Robbins, 68, of Herington, died Nov. 30, 2004, at Salina Regional Health Center.

Born May 12, 1936, in Atlanta, Mo., she was the daughter of Jacob and Orpha (Hardgrove) Stark.

On April 8, 1955, she married Blaine Robbins at Danforth Chapel on the University of Kansas campus at Lawrence.

She retired in 1994 as secretary for USD 259. She worked part-time after her retirement, as a typesetter and proofreader for the Herington Times. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Herington.

She was preceded in death by a sister and her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Blaine of Herington; two sons, David Robbins of Herington and Daryl Robbins of Hutchinson; a daughter, DeAnna Stewart of Herington; a brother, Dean Stark of Williamsburg; a sister, Dauna Ireland of Greeley, Colo.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday morning at First Baptist Church, Herington, with the Rev. Robert Starburg officiating.

Memorial funds have been established with First Baptist Church or Junction City Dialysis Center.
