Harold Broce
Harold J. Broce, 92, of Arkansas City, died April 9, 2007.
Born July 10, 1914, at Anthony, he was the son of Eldon and Anna (Brooks) Broce.
On Aug. 28, 1935, he married Ruth Osborn at Anthony.
He worked as construction superintendent for Broce Construction Company, and spent most of his life as a rancher/farmer in Dexter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Ray; sister, Dortha Toler; and grandson, Darin Bowman.
Survivors include two sons, Bill and Dorothy Broce of Lost Springs and Keith and Pam Broce; two daughters, Diana and Don Groce and Linda Broce, all of Arkansas City; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Arkansas City, with Pastor Stephen Bailey officiating.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Arkansas City.
A memorial fund has been established with the First Baptist Church building fund.
