Harold Roever

Harold L. Roever, 73, died Oct. 31, 2005, at his home in Herington.

Born July 26, 1932, at Carden, he was the son of Henry and Orel (Higgins) Roever.

He married Lucille Myer in 1952. She died in 1975. In 1976, he married Leona Herpich. She died in 1996.

On Sept. 23, 1998, he married Joyce Schlesener Miller.

He moved to Herington from Manhattan and managed Roever Ford & Mercury in 1974. He also owned and operated Herington Sale Barn Restaurant.

He was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Herington.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce of Herington; mother, Orel Roever of Marysville; three daughters, Debrie Reves of Wamego, Donna Cederberg of Manhattan, and Robin Brown of Alta Vista; four stepsons, Mike Herpich of White City, Brett Herpich, Danny Miller, and David Miller, all of Herington; three stepdaughters, Jan Poskey of Salina, Jamie Peterson of Burdick, and Amy Makovec of Lost Springs; sister, Kelma Frohberg of Waterville; 21 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Herington, with the Rev. Troy Slater officiating.

Burial will be in Mitchell Valley Cemetery, Herington.

A memorial fund has been established with Dickinson County Hospice.
