Harvey Loy
Harvey S. Loy, 86, McPherson, died May 28, 2008.
Born July 1, 1921, at Beverly, he was the son of Leonard and Vera (Painter) Loy.
On Aug. 24, 1947, he married Esther Bentz at Tampa. She died in February 2008.
He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
He was a high school teacher, athletic coach, and principal for 33 years, retiring in 1983.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Gary; and brother, Virgil Loy.
Survivors include a sister, Eileen Nelson of Salina; brother, Royce Loy of Clearwater, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at Moundridge United Methodist Church with the Rev. Faye Wagner officiating.
Burial was in Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge.
Memorial funds have been established with Moundridge United Methodist Church or the American Heart Association.
