Helen Navrat

Helen E. Navrat, 82, died Jan. 22, 2008, at Bethesda Home, Goessel. Born April 13, 1925, at Council Grove, she was the daughter of William and Hanna (Clark) Trostle.

On May 1, 1943, she married Victor Navrat at Council Grove.

She was a homemaker and worked as a CNA at Marion Manor for many years.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. John Nepomucene Church, Pilsen.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; eight siblings; and a son, Galen Navrat.

Survivors include a son, James Navrat of Lehigh; two daughters, Janice Blessing of Murphysboro, Ill., and Malinda Schmidt of Augusta; sister, Una Taylor of Lake Jackson, Texas; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The rosary was recited Thursday evening at Zeiner Funeral Home, Marion.

A funeral mass was celebrated Friday morning at Holy Family Parish, St. John Nep. Church, Pilsen, with Fr. Hien Nguyen as celebrant.

Burial was in Pilsen Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established with Holy Family Parish.
