Henderson, White are married

Barbra Henderson and Adam White were united in marriage July 3, 2004, at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Topeka. The Rev. Scott Simpson of Westminster Presbyterian and the Rev. Barbara Malone, sister of the groom, officiated during the ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Gerry and Cathy Henderson of Marion. Parents of the groom are LeeAnne Jordan of Lenexa and Mike and Robin White of Independence.

Musicians were organist Anita Brookens and trumpeteer Justin Brookens of Marion. Vocalists were Andrew, Justin, and Michael Brookens, all of Marion.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Matron of honor was Brooke Lewis of Shawnee. Bridesmaids were Courtney Wassom of Lenexa and Stacy Kissling of Dallas, Texas.

Best man was Erik Pollom of Olathe. Groomsmen were Mark Crouser of Hurst, Texas, and Greg Fletchall of Lawrence.

Flower girls were Kathlynn and Elizabeth Carter, nieces of the bride, and Isabella and Virginia Malone, nieces of the groom.

Ushers were John Henderson, brother of the bride, and Jeremy Meiss, brother-in-law of the groom.

Guest book attendant was Becky Carter of Herington, sister-in-law of the bride.

A reception was held at The Governor's Row House in Topeka. The couple took a honeymoon trip to San Diego and Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif.

The couple currently lives in Topeka.

The bride is a graduate of Topeka High School and has bachelor of science and master of science degrees from Kansas State University. She is a speech-language pathologist at St. Francis Hospital and Kansas Rehabilitation Hospital.

The groom is a graduate of Shawnee Mission Northwest High School and has a bachelor of science degree from Kansas State University. He is vocal music director at Washburn Rural High School.
