Hett clan gathers at county lake
The 86th annual Hett reunion was held Sunday at Marion County Lake hall.
More than 66 family members and guests attended and enjoyed a potluck meal featuring pork offered by Dave Hett.
Dave Hett, along with John D. Hett, Eldon Hett, Jack Hett, Aaron Hett, and Justin Hett spent the wee hours of Sunday morning roasting the hog for the gathering.
President Dave Hett conducted the business meeting. Officers elected for 2005 were: Jack Hett, president; Shelley Stafford, vice president; Wendy Hett, secretary; and Evelyn Hett, treasurer. It was decided the next reunion will be held the second Sunday of August 2005, at Marion County Lake hall.
Heads of the families introduced their members, and everyone enjoyed tracing the family tree back to see how they were all related.
