Hetts make annual pilgrimage to NJ

Aaron and Lanell Hett, Nickolas, Travis, and Lindsay of Marion recently visited uncle and aunt, Lew and LaVonda Rothman and family in Morristown, N.J.

The Hetts enjoyed meeting their new cousin, Logan, son of John Hankin and Samantha Rothman-Hankin.

They attended the first ever J.R. Cigar Lot Hop at Whippany, N.J., in commemoration of the legendary decade — the '50s. The evening featured classic cars and motorcycles, a dance contest, prizes for best dressed, and a '50s sock hop.

The Hetts enjoyed golfing with Lew at Black Bear Golf Club at Franklin, N.J., the Heron Glen Golf Course at Ringoes, N.J., and Anchor Golfland at Whippany, N.J. Nickolas Hett shot the low scores of the family with an impressive 1 over par 73 at Black Bear.

The group enjoyed dining at Rod's Steak House & Seafood Grille at Convent Station, N.J., and the J.R. Cigar Montecristo Lounge, Whippany.

Days and evenings were spent at the Rothman Estate compound relaxing by the pool and spa. Almost every meal featured fresh homegrown produce from LaVonda's garden.

Nickolas and Travis were guests of Marnie and Luke Rothman for an evening seeing the sights of New York by limousine.

Aaron, Lanell, Lew, and LaVonda enjoyed several evenings playing pitch and the final evening included a championship round.
