Home tours, parade planned for Nov. 26 years ago

The Marion community is preparing for the holiday season Nov. 26 with various activities for every member of the family.

The annual Christmas Home Tours will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Homes to be featured on the tour are those of Tudy Brunner, 228 S. Lincoln; Craig and Diana Dodd, 115 N. Elm; and Doug and Pauline Sharp, 4 Fairway Drive. Tickets are $5 per person and may be purchased at Marion City Library or at the homes.

The library will host a holiday recipe sampling at the library during the home tours.

Proceeds will benefit the library.

Jingle Bells Parade will be at 1 p.m. on Main Street from First to Fifth streets, Santa Claus will be in his house from 1 to 3 p.m. in Liberty Park (Second and Main streets) where photographs will be available, and a pet parade and costume contest will be at 2 p.m. at Liberty Park.

Local stores will be open that afternoon to accommodate Christmas shoppers.
